Coloured Contacts Supreme Ridden Childrens Pony of the Year - Millpond Look at Me ridden by Henriett
|
 |
Coloured Contacts (Jayne Purcell-White presenting winner Millpond Look at me with rider Henrietta Windsor-Phillips) proudly sponsored the Supreme Children Ridden Pony of the Year at the CHAPS National Championships held at Myerscough Equestrian Centre, Lancs last weekend. This competition was a first for CHAPS and was an instant success. With qualifiers held at all the CHAPS Regional Shows throughout the year, the strong classes made for tough competition. Judges Hollings, Shepley and Lawton found their champion in Millpond Look at Me ridden by Henrietta Windsor Phillips. A true child`s pony, he displayed all the qualities they should have. With a wonderful trophy, beautiful woollen rug fleece and a National Title rug to go home with, we congratulate them enormously on their superb effort.
(Scooby) is an 8 year old tobiano gelding by Honeypot Sporran and bred by Mr Colin Pepoll, Essex. Henrietta Windsor-Phillips has had him for one season and already they have knotched up some prestigous wins - This year they won Royal Windsor, Berkshire Champion, Herts County Champion, qualified for HOYS first time out and RIHS three times out of three. Scooby has also been the CHAPS Coloured Contacts Child Supreme Ridden Children`s Pony of the Year Pony and BSPA Supreme ridden
pony. Scooby hacks out and jumps. Henrietta has just turned 11 and this is her first full proper showing year and she is helped out by Carol and Simone Gilbert-Scott. After HOYS Henrietta intends to do some pony club with Scooby in the winter.
Coloured Contacts is proud to sponsor this class and we look forward to another well contested competition to find our winner in 2008.
